There are everyday condiments and then there are Special Condiments that make it onto the Fun Food List – I tried 3 new ones that are my February Favourite Fun Food.
I started out February trying the new Frank’s RedHot Hot Honey sauce collaboration at McDonalds on my McNuggets and then also on my fries! The door is now open for hot honey experiments – chicken wings and pizza have been tested so far. And of course Frank’s has launched a new line of squeezy bottles of hot honey in grocery stores in sync with their McDs Collab.
And as February ends, I just had a really excellent Cheese Burger at the hockey rink that featured their homemade Cozy Sauce (mayo on steroids!) and Jalapeno Jam which was like a spicy relish crossed with hot honey and is something really Special – like sell in jars Special! Jalapeno Jam experiments to come in March on pizza, hot dogs and in sandwiches. I bet it would give turkey OR cream cheese & veggies a memorable boost.
PS – Dried cranberry trials continued in February. Unsuccessful test on pizza – pineapple works so why not try… Not a keeper. BUT, I now have a new permanent feature in my Breakfast Cookies although work is needed on my healthy breakfast to tasty cookie balance/ratio.
